Competition format

Individual tournament for women and men with additional team scoring (2 players per company). All participants will compete on 2 days with 2 rounds per day (18 holes).

Competition rules

Footballs will be provided by the organiser, but you may also use your own balls (size 5). The official rules of Soccerpark Salzburg (www.soccerpark.at) apply.

When teeing off, the ball must be touching the green mat and must be behind or on the white line! Please take note of the descriptions and instructions on the information boards for every hole!

  1. The goal of the game is to knock a ball in all 18 holes/goals in as few kicks as possible. The winner is the player who finishes with the fewest overall amount of kicks.
  2. Players in a “flight” always alternate. If another ball is obstructing the intended line of play, the player whose turn it is can request that the ball be “spotted” (i.e. the spot is marked and the ball is removed for a short time). If that ball is not spotted and the next ball hits it, the earlier ball is returned to its previous position and the later ball stays where it is.
  3. The maximum number of kicks is three times the par (e.g. par 3 = max. 9 kicks). If the ball is not in the hole after the last kick (i.e. after the 9th kick on a par 5), a penalty of four times the par (i.e. 12 kicks) is noted.

SPECIAL RULE for the 18th hole: The maximum number of kicks here is 6 – otherwise 7 is noted on the scorecard!
Par – maximum no. of kicks – penalty points
On par 3, the maximum number of kicks is 9, otherwise 12 is noted
On par 4, the maximum number of kicks is 12, otherwise 16 is noted
On par 5, the maximum number of kicks is 15, otherwise 20 is noted
On par 6, the maximum number of kicks is 18, otherwise 24 is noted

4. Parts of the course:

a) the rough – the high grass to the right and left of the fairways, outside the mowed section – you must continue playing from here

b) the fairway – the mowed area and the optimal line of play

c) out-of-bounds (beyond the rough) – area with short grass belonging to the neighbouring fairway

If the ball touches a different fairway, the player receives a penalty of +1 kick and must continue playing from the previous spot from which he/she shot the ball out of bounds.

5. The hazards must be played in the direction of the arrows, as shown on the information boards for the holes.

6. One foot must always be touching the ground. Clamping (jumping up with the ball) is not permitted.

Scoring

The 4 rounds played are added up; prizes are awarded for the 1st to 3rd places in the women’s and men’s tournaments. In the team tournaments, prizes are also awarded for the 1st to 3rd places.
